Notice the tall cactus!
Notice the tall cactus plants (trees?) at this airplanes location out in Arizona. This particular airplane has the actual Corben type landing gear (or perhaps the gear from an Aeronca Chief or Champ); compared to many that used gear salvaged from Piper J-3 Cubs. Pilots out there need to be aware of the hot days concerning density altitude calculations. Airplanes in general prefer airports at lower altitudes and cooler flying days which together make a tremendous difference in flight performance.
