Gerry Holland's Beautiful Junior Ace Single Seat Conversion
Hi Guy! Like the new Website. Would you consider adding another Corben. I’m guessing you found my Corben Junior on Yahoo Site. It’s G-BSDI. This original came from Asheville, NC and built by a Mr Oliver & Mr Clark. It was imported to UK in 1989 as a single seat and then converted to a very cramped two seat configuration just after that. Stick remained in centre of 30” wide cabin but two sets of Rudder pedals and brakes were added. It seems performance was not sparkling with a A75 and the UK Regulatory body limited AUW to 1100 lbs against a US limit of 1300 so space and weight were limited.
I purchased it in 2009 and converted back to single seat and restored it a little after a few years of neglect but luckily hangared. it's a great airplane and I’m very happy with it.
Will try and get some airborne pictures and video when weather improves. Regards, Gerry

Beautiful Instrument Panel and Look at All Of That Room In There!
Yes Gerry, I recently had found your airplane online. I seem to remember that it is an all white airplane with little or no trim markings if memory serves me. In fact, if that is the correct airplane - I downloaded the pictures only a couple days ago. I will look at your link to see in just a moment. I plan to show your airplane on the page titled [Cabin Aces – Junior Aces] but it is not there as of yet. Still in the development stages with the new site and hope it attracts a good audience of people that love the Ace airplanes. Have you seen all of the pages at my site index yet?
http://corbenbabyace.weebly.com/site-index.html There are many pages listed there with links to each. I would like to post your comments on your page when I build it. Can you send us more info about flying characteristics and maybe about the extensive work you did bringing it back to a single. The more detail the better. Happy Flying, Guy Foster [The Baby Ace - Junior Ace Man]

UK Test Pilot Flying It On Monday; 01/31/2011
Guy Hi!
Thanks for reply. YES I have been through every link on you Site. Thanks for doing it! I will assemble some pictures of the work done and you can take what you like. I have a UK Test Pilot flying it Monday. He came to my Hangar to fly a Monnett Moni and spotted the Corben and absolutely loved it. He concentrates on old Biplanes and pre WW11 Aircraft. He has a tiger and a Jungmann and is training a German guy to fly an ME109!. It will be interested to get his comments....weather permitting. Be in touch again soon.
Regards, Gerry Holland

A Beautiful Junior Ace By Gerry Holland
Mark Hi!
I have a Corben Junior that started life in USA as single seat many years ago, got converted to two seats when imported to UK and is now single seat again as I¹ve converted it back. I have attached my W&B Spreadsheet for you to play with. Note UW is 655lbs. The Max. AUW in UK is 1100lbs but I believe it¹s 1350 in USA. Vne is also restricted to 100mph here against 135mph in USA. I¹m about 190lbs and this
leads to my operating weight being around 950lbs. It trims¹ well, flies great albeit a little cold here at moment! You can see some photos here.
