Mr. Leon's Baby Ace Model 'C' N37311
Here is a lovely Baby Ace Model 'C' that has obviously been refurbished and re-painted (see below). The owner is apparently a man named Leon but I do not have any information about him or his airplane. Mr. Leon... if you see this post please e-mail and tell us all about your airplane; whether you built it, refurbished it yourself, your flying adventures in in, some desitinations, flight characteristics, landing impressions, and more. I would love to hear from you. Guy Foster [The Baby Ace Man]
Update: (1/29/11) I found the following about Leon:
Leon Strock is shown above with his very nice Corben Baby Ace. He is our chapter treasurer for 2008 and 2009. He recently repainted the plane red and silver ... as shown below. Some photos were taken at the Harold Evans Fly-in at Holly Hill, SC on May 11th, 2007. The other photo was taken at Dry Swamp Airport near Orangeburg in November, 2007. Leon has been flying airplanes much of his life. Everyone knows "Strock" ... his status in the flying community is legendary! In addition to (continued below...)

N37311 On Take-Off or Flaring For A Landing!
(continud from above...) being a member of the TTF club, Leon participates in local EAA chapter 242; he is one of its original "pioneers". When Leon is around, you can bet that there will be plenty of airplane talk going on! He will also keep you entertained with his homespun humor. Leon was the first member of our chapter to own a Baby Ace. Since that time, several other members have acquired Baby Aces.
[Send us an update Leon]
My bet would be that this is a take-off picture, otherwise the airplane would be slightly more nose high if it were 3-pointing to land unless it is 'wheel' landing. The prop looks to be at high RPM too. Finally; the photographer would not likely have been that well positioned for the photo if the airplane was landing. Am I right Mr. Leon?

This pilot looks like the kind of guy you would want to know!
I like the grass strip!
37311 In New Paint (looks like a new prop too)!
If anyone knows the status of this airplane or who ended up with this airplane, or - if you are the Owner, Builder, Pilot or Photographer involving this airplane, please e-mail me with your story and I will try my best to publish it on these pages.
